Islamabad Art History and Exhibition Museum nearing completion: CDA President
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – November 21, 2021): The Islamabad Art History and Exhibition Museum, under restoration at F-9 Park, will soon be open to the public, said Sunday the president of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Aamir Ali Ahmed. .
The museum is said to have a gallery, showing detailed images of how Islamabad emerged as a city, he told APP.
Ahmed said the initiative was aimed at promoting art and culture and locals’ connection to the history of Islamabad.
Likewise, he said the images and artifacts would also be displayed of historical significance.
Artists from the city are said to be involved to form an unofficial council to run the center, he added.
The federal umbrella agency was converting the existing building into a museum that previously served as a restaurant.
Meanwhile, the CDA’s law enforcement branch carried out a massive operation against the land mafia in various parts of Islamabad and reclaimed around 20 channels of government land.
The Islamabad Civil Administration and Police provided assistance to CDA in carrying out the operation.
According to details released by the authority, the operation was carried out at the junction of the Pandorian and Khanna Dak areas of Islamabad where two illegal stables, three houses and the foundations of two buildings were demolished using heavy machinery. .
The CDA administration reiterated that protecting government land is our top priority and that no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
It is relevant to mention here that for several months the CDA in the federal capital has been engaged in continuous operations against encroachment and illegal construction, of which billions of rupees of government land have been reclaimed from illegal occupiers.
