“It’s a wonderful life in Saint-Charles! – History Museum Announces Holiday Gala Fundraiser – Kane County Connects
For the first time in nearly a decade, the St. Charles History Museum is hosting a festive fundraising gala on December 10, 2021 at the Dunham Woods Riding Club.
The event is open to the public and dinner reservations are now being accepted.
St. Charles History Museum chairman Mike Corbett said seats were limited and reservations were quickly taken.
“It was just like the community of St. Charles needs a celebration after all of our efforts to protect our community from this pandemic this year and more,” he said. “And we are very pleased to have Kane County Judge Elizabeth Flood as the Honorary Chair of this event.”
The Holiday Gala Fundraiser will celebrate the theme “It’s a Wonderful Life in St. Charles” and includes a cocktail, cash bar, three-course meal, dessert bar / cafe, live entertainment and a raffle. at 50-50. Holiday party attire is required. For the comfort and safety of all, participants are requested to be fully immunized.
Reservations for the Holiday Gala are now open and the cost is $ 125 per person. Tables for eight and ten are also available. Reservations can be made at https://stcmuseum.org/holidaygala.

A festive after-dinner musical program that will put everyone in a very nostalgic mood will be provided by award-winning singer Maureen Christine, a Grammy-nominated national recording artist.
Christine sang for astronaut Buzz Aldrin, opened for Helen Reddy and Willie Nelson and shared the stage with Barry Manilow. She won first place in the country for the song she wrote and sang for United Way, and she is an exclusive artist of the Illinois Arts Council Artstour Roster.
For this event, Christine will be accompanied by Michael Bazan and the quartet. She will bring her “crystal clear voice with a warm and genuine personality” to songs by and inspired by the movie “It’s A Wonderful life”. Holiday favorites, nostalgic classics and of course classic swing!
There will also be a few surprises, including a special performance by local actor Daniil Krimer, artistic director of the Kane County Repertory Theater.
Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available on request.
